Trevor Williams is a highly qualified South African-based fire safety engineering consultant with about 25 years experience in the field. He began his career in 1991 with the Midrand Fire Department, where he qualified as a paramedic and a fire-fighter. He quickly advanced through the ranks, culminating in his promotion in 1996 to Station Officer. Here he took responsibility for managing the Crisis Control Centre. He was subsequently promoted to Divisional Officer and was responsible for the enforcement of protection standards for the western half of the Midrand Municipal area. In 2000 he made the transition to private practice as a consultant to developers and architects regarding fire safety for their projects. During that time he completed a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (Business Management and Information Systems) and a Master of Science (MSc) in Fire Safety Engineering from the University of Central Lancashire, England. He also obtained a Professional Engineering Technologist professional qualification from the Engineering Council of South Africa and is currently an associate member of the SA Emergency Services Institute and a full member of the Institute of Fire Engineers in England.

Jaco is a fire safety consultant with a B.Eng(Mechanical) – Cum Laude which he obtained at the end of 2011 from the University of Pretoria. Jaco has also received his professional engineering (Pr.Eng) qualification from the Engineering Council of South Africa in the beginning of 2016 and is now one of the key consultants at TWCE. He is responsible for producing fire strategies (concept, code compliant and performance based), as well as designing automatic sprinkler systems, fire detection systems, evacuation systems, smoke ventilation systems, special risk protection and the like. He also has experience in contract administration, site management, inspection, testing, commissioning of the various fire protection systems listed above. Jaco has been involved inleading key projects at TWCE.

Matt recently joined TWCE after obtaining his BSc in Mechanical Engineering from WITS University in 2015. He is dedicated and hard-working and believes that his greatest strengths are leadership while getting the job done in a pressured situation. He has a keen interest in fire design, smoke ventilation and evacuation simulations. His hunger for new knowledge means no project is too great.

Wynand has been actively involved in the fire safety equipment industry since 1996, and recently joined TWCE. His strengths includes the design, implementation and sign-off of fire detection and gaseous suppression fire protection systems, and is responsible for handling ICT projects. He is currently studying fire engineering through The Institute of Fire Engineers and hopes to qualify in the next couple of years. His interest and experience in the field of fire engineering is deep, and believes that he will grow through his dedication to providing the best possible solutions to clients.

Donovan joined the fire safety industry in 2008 as a junior draughtsman for an automatic sprinkler installer. Since then he has undergone intensive training over the years. Being one of the new recruits of the company, he has been given the opportunity to make a difference and make my dreams a reality. “Since joining TWCE I have learnt that fire safety cannot be compromised,” says Donovan. Donovan is responsible for the design of sprinkler systems from start to finish, and has done so on some prestigious projects.

As one of TWCE's newest Design Draughtsman recruits, Wayne began working at the company in January 2015. Since then he has undergone intensive Revit training, and now designs active fire protection systems. Wayne has been in the Fire Safety Industry for 11 years, varying from hydraulic design, shop drawings, fabrication lists, to client liaison and site works, in various sectors of the industry of commercial and non-commercial buildings, thus making his position as Design Draughtsman a well experienced candidate for the position as part of the TWCE team.
